Robert Willie Pickton,  or Rober William Pickton is a Canadian pig farmer from Port Coquitlam in British Columbia, Canada.

Robert Pickton, dubbed as Canada's Most Notorious Mass Murderer, was finally found guilty of all 6 counts on 2nd degree murder of 6 female victims on December 9, in New Westminster, British Columbia after he was nabbed by the authorities two years ago.

The six women were Sereena Abotsway, Mona Wilson, Andrea Joesbury, Georgina Papin, Brenda Wolfe and Marnie Frey.

Robert 'Willie' Picton was also charged with a further 20 counts, but that trial is to depend on whether there is an appeal for the first conviction of six counts.

The convictions  that jurors could only find Pickton a second degree murder mean Pickton will still face a life sentence, but he'll eligible for parole in 10 years rather than the 25 that a First-Degree conviction calls for.

For us, it seems that the 1st degree conviction is the only way to feel relieved for those victims who were butchered like animals in Robert Pickton's farm slaughterhouse. Source: CityNews, Chinadaily & CBC Tags: , , , , ,
