Gillian Chung seems to be unaffected by this though as she has been signed to endorse 3 new commercials while her existing role in her movie, “Mei Lang Fang” will remain instead of being edited away. Update: While the video "Kira" promised to upload onto the internet finally didn't make it on February 7, a video reportedly showing Edison Chen and her first girlfriend, American actress Maggie Q having sex was leaked. But soon a link on Hong Kong Discuss Forum was deleted.
Update: Edison Chen's sex photos were allegedly spread by the showbiz insiders:
batgwa.com has reason to believe that a show-business insider was spreading images related to the ongoing sex photos scandal. Yesterday at 10:45 GMT, the news desk received an email containing 12 images, purportedly of Gillian Chung (鍾欣桐) giving Edison Chen (陳冠希) oral sex, that had already surfaced the day before.
The email had the Simplified-Chinese subject heading "The innocent Gillian Chung" (纯情的阿娇钟欣桐), but did not contain any text except for a general email footer.
The batgwa.com email address that the message was sent to had never been publicly listed and had only ever been used for communication with other media companies.
batgwa.com managing editor Gerry Ho said: "We are incredibly curious to know who sent us this message. The email address it was sent to has never been listed on the 'Contact Us' or 'About Us' pages of our website. It has only ever been given to music and film companies for them to send us press material. And we have only ever used it to send out press releases to other media outlets such as newspapers.
"While it is not unfathomable that a person or spambot guessed the address, I think it is unlikely. Why would someone send to this address when there are so many other addresses publicly listed on our website?
"If – and it's a big 'if' – it was not a lucky guess, then there's a big chance that whoever sent the message works within the media machine.
"We replied to the message to ask the person who he or she is, but have not had any response. The mystery sender used one of those accounts anybody can set up on GMail in a matter of minutes. However, we cannot reveal his or her full address, because he or she did not say whether or not the message was on the record."
