As expected, Gillian Chung finally made a public appearance on her Twins Club fans event. Not as sad as we thought she would be, Gillian Chung with a smiling face read her statement before more than 100 media personnel which lasted only one minute. She said:
“大家好！新年快乐！这件事对我和身边的人造成很大伤害，我承认我以前是好天真和好傻，现在长大了嘛！对于社会、公司同家人因此受到影响，深感抱歉，未来我会积极面对人生，多谢传媒关心，还有一群对我不离不弃的Fans！”
[Hello Everybody! Happy Chinese New Year!] The scandal has been a great deal of hurt for me and the people around me. I was naive and foolish in the past (admitting to it indirectly) but I am already a grown-up now. I would like to thank my manager, company, family and friends for their support. I’m sorry for the trouble that it has caused to the society. I will work even harder and bravely face up to my life in future. I also thank the media for their concern and fans for their unwavering support.
After the statement, Gillian Chung retreated from the press where her fans chanted "Support You Forever!"
