Dmitry Medvedev Wins Russian President Election

Dmitry Medvedev, Vladimir Putin's designated successor, swept to a landslide victory  in the most one-sided presidential election on March 2nd in Russia's post-Soviet history, winning more than two-thirds of votes.

Medvedev, 42, who will be the youngest Russian leader since Tsar Nicholas II when he is sworn in on May 7. Almost sure Putin, 55, will be his prime minister. (Photo credit: Xinhua/Mikhail Klimentyev)
