Reese Witherspoon among a list of A-celebrities is to appear on American Idol 7's charity event "Idol Gives Back." The show was taped Sunday night at the Kodak Theatre and is scheduled to air Wednesday April 9. Witherspoon doesn't have the performance on the show, but her recent visit to a New Orleans Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) Freedom School where at-risk children learn to become community leaders will be aired. The money to be raised on this year's "Idol Gives Back will be channeled to Global Fund, Malaria No More, Children's Health Fund, Save the Children, Children's Defense Fund and Make It Right, Brad Pitt's campaign to help New Orleans recover from Hurricane Katrina.
