Nestled in what the natives call the "North Country" is an Adirondack gem that has long been a vacation spot for individuals and families. What has been nicknamed the Queen of American Lakes, Lake Georgeer in New York State is a long lake framed by a charming town of the same name.

While the lake reaches out into the southeastern base of the Adirondacks for roughly 32 miles, the region celebrates its majesty in all four of the glorious seasons that endures the likes of the rich and the average "Joe" with outdoor activities, splendid shopping, a picturesque environment and events year-long.

The area, rich in Native American, European and American history, is mostly revered today as a tourist destination rich in American history. Many years ago it was the playground of the elite as Lake Georgeve comfortably sits halfway between New York City and Montreal.

While the well-to-do considered it on par with other destinations such as Saratoga and the Hamptons, time has shown it to attract people of all social class. And today, folks schedule their yearly vacations, still, around visits to Lake George, New York.

It's not only Americans or even regional folk who flocked to (and still do), Europeans seek out the paradise of Lake Georgesr in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.
