Glenn Close won Best Actress for role as a ruthless trial lawyer on the FX cable network drama series Damages at 2008 EMMY Awards in Los Angeles on September 21.

We can't feel any happier for the 61-year-old actress, because the trophy Gloen Close awarded is the best answer to actress Katherine Hepburn [wikipedia] arbitrary ignorance. Hepburn once predicted Close would never become a star because her feet were too big.

Glenn Close was nominated for five Academy Awards and nine Golden Globes (earned two). She also received an Obie, three Tony's and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Susan Saint James Honored as 2,364th Star of Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Actress Susan Saint James [wiki] , best known for her roles in the television series "McMillan and Wife" and "Kate & Allie", was honored as the 2,364th Star of Hollywood Walk Of Fame on June 11, 2008. There were about 300 family members and guests including Universal Studios President and Chief Executive Officer Ron Meyer and California first lady Maria Shriver attended the launch ceremony held at 1645 Vine Street, near Hollywood Boulevard.
