On the show, the 40-year-old actress revealed that she was learning to sing for her upcoming film The Goree Girls where she is playing one of the singers.
When asked by Ellen to practice her singing on the show, Aniston picked I've Got a Crush on You to sing.
"I'm absolutely mortified that you actually did that to me," the Friend star said after finishing. But Ellen said she'd put Aniston into the next round on Idol.

Jennifer Aniston, 40, and her costar Gerard Butler, 39, were spotted holding hands this weekend at The Jane Hotel in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, People reported.
"Jen and Gerry went out on Saturday night … [they] had cocktails and … They were hand in hand." a source was quoted as saying.
Jennifer and Gerard are currently filming The Bounty in Queens, New York City.
Jennifer Aniston, the 40-year-old actress, will sing and play the guitar in her next musical film, The Goree Girls, which based on a true-life story about an all-female country-and-western band that formed in a Texas prison in the 1940s.
"She can sing. And she's going to learn how to play the Dobro [guitar].” the movie's director, Michael Sucsy, tells E! Online. He also reveals that Aniston's fellow band members won't necessarily be the real-life musicians.
"These women learned to harmonize and they learned to play instruments. They weren't these amazing, accomplished singers who banded together. That's what's interesting about it." Sucsy says.
"It's not just like, 'Hey, you can play the guitar, I can play the piano, I can play the harmonica. Let's put a band together.' It's like, 'We have to get out of jail, and if we have to put a band together to do that, then that's what we're going to do.' "

Jennifer Aniston has reportedly dumped John Mayer over his Twitter addiction, according to a new report.
The 40-year-old actress split with her on-again/off-again boyfriend John Mayer because the musician claimed he was too busy to contact her, but had plenty of time to update his Twitter page during Jennifer in Europe promoting her film Marley and Me.
"John suddenly stopped calling her or returning her e-mails and when she would finally catch up with him, he'd say, ‘I've been so busy with work. I'm sorry I haven't had time to call you back.’” an insider source told the Star magazine
"Jen was fuming. There he was, telling her he didn't have time for her and yet his page was filled with Twitter updates. Every few hours, sometimes minutes, he'd update with some stupid line. And in her mind, she was like, ‘He has time for all this Twittering but he can't send me a text, an email, make a call?’" added the insider.
Shortly after the breakup, Mayer's Twitter update read: 'This heart didn't come with instructions.'

The show host asked the Marley & Me stars to bet if a German woman who owned 28 dogs could identify them just from the sound of the dogs lapping up soup on bowl. And the host told them that whoever lost the bet would have to eat a few dog biscuits. Jennifer Aniston bet the woman could do it while Owen Wilson bet she couldn’t.
The dog owner identified right and Wilson lost the bet. But Aniston was invited to joined Wilson in a dog treat as punishment, showing support to her co-star.

Last month, Star magazine reported that John Mayer is planning to propose to Jennifer Aniston with a custom-made ring on her 40th birthday on February 11. John Mayer admitted that "there are sleepovers" with girlfriend Jennifer Aniston in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show which is to air on Monday Feb. 9.

Brad Pitt was reportedly furious about Jennifer Aniston's "really uncool" comment on Angelina Jolie in the Vogue interview.
Brad pitt is said to have given his ex-wife an angry phone call to defend his current lover Jolie. According to the Chicago Sun Times, a source close to the Pitt-Jolie camp says the couple were "totally thrown" by Aniston's Vogue interview, thinking she had "moved on and wouldn't want to reopen this old wound."
When asked about the alleged Pitt call to her client, Aniston's rep didn't comment but replied by e-mailing "That's personal information. ... That really is no one's business."
