Feature Film Hipopcracy - Casting February 5, 2005
Five-time regional Emmy Award winner Bill Garcia of Offlimits Production, Inc. teams up with Joshua Caraballo of Minerva Films, LLC Minera Films Web Site and screenwriter C. J. Davis (nom de plume) for the feature film Hipopcracy.
This story follows two young lovers through their Middle and High School years.
Matthew is a smart-mouth Gothic fan who has fallen in love with Nia, a black urban proactive youth into the Hip-Hop lifestyle. They continue their relationship amongst the disapproval of their peers, which ultimately brings the two different worlds together.
We are looking for actors to portray the following characters in a SCREENPLAY reading:
Deon, Male, Black, athletic, 16-18 (must look like a person in High School)
Young Deon, Male, Black, 11-13 (must look like a person in Middle School)
Matthew, Male, White, 16-18 (must look like a person in High School)
Young Matthew, Male, White, 11-13 (must look like a person in Middle School)
Joey, Male, Black, athletic, 16-18 (must look like a person in High School)
Young Joey, Male, Black, 11-13 (must look like a person in Middle School)
Mia, Female, Black, 15-17 (must look like a person in High School)
Young Mia, Female, Black, 11-12 (must look like a person in Middle School)
2 Black Females (15-17 years old), secondary roles
Narrator, Male, White, 30's
Auditions will take place at SER International/Miami on Saturday, February 5, 2005, from 9am-7pm.
Appointments are strongly recommended (call Josh at 954.336.1191), and will be held in 10-minute increments.

Actors chosen will be paid $50.00 for a day of reading (meal/refreshments included) with the producer, director and screenwriter.
Actors auditioning must be available for the reading, to take place Sunday, February 20, 2005. Consideration will also be given regarding actual casting of film; principle photography yet to be determined. This is a great opportunity for anyone who fits the above descriptions.
