The rumor that Kobe Bryant won his first NBA career Most Valuable Player of the year turns out true. The 29-year-old Los Angeles Laker's defend was officially named the 2007-08 NBA's MVP on Tuesday after leading his team to the best record in the league's Western Conference in this season.
"It's been one hell of a year. To watch the development of our younger players and see the development of this team has been amazing. There is nothing like winning a championship but this is special. ...This is an award I couldn't have won on my own. I can't thank these guys (his teammates) enough." Kobe Bryant, who will receive a trophy tonight from NBA commissioner David Stern, told at a press conference.
Congrats, Kobe! You are the best!
