President George Bush made an appearance on the Monday episode of NBC’s popular prime-time show Deal or No Deal via a taped cameo. George Bush wished contestant Joe Kobes, a decorated Army captain who served three tours in Iraq, good luck. The April 21's Deal or No Deal is a special show honouring the service of US military personnel. WP commented:
Even a president can do a stint on a lowbrow entertainment show as long as it is cloaked in a dignified cause....Timing, however, matters. While it may be the first time a sitting president found it fitting to make fun of himself on a game show, that showstopper came at a moment when the Bush presidency is in eclipse.
