The earlier rumor that Star Jones split her banker husband of three and a half years, Al Reynolds, turns out true. The former The View co-host Star Jones filed for divorce from Al Reynolds on March 26 in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan, Entertainment Tonight reported. The court marked Starlet M. Jones versus Al S. Reynolds divorce as an "Uncontested Matrimonial" case and had sealed the records.
"Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone's life that requires privacy with one's thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman." Star told to ET.
Star, 46 and Reynolds, 40, met on November 13, 2003 at the New York City celebration party of the release of an Alicia Keys album. Star accepted Al's marriage proposal and a princess cut diamond engagement ring on February 15, 2004 NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles. On November 13, 2004, the couple married in a lavish wedding held at St. Bartholomew's Church in New York City. Among the 450 guests were Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, Vivica A. Fox, Donald Trump and Barbara Walters.
