Evan Tanner Death: Evan Tanner Found Dead in Californian Desert!
Evan Tanner [
wikipedia], a former UFC middleweight champion, has died. His body was found in California's Palo Verde mountain area near the Arizona border on Monday. The 37 year old fighter was on a desert camping trip since Sept. 2. Two days later on Sep. 4, Evan Tanner, pictured above, SMSed a friend to tell that he was running out of water and gas for his vehicle. He was officially reported missing on Sep. 5, and the Imperial County law enforcement launched a search in the bid to locate him. Something tragically happened on Sep 8, when a sheriff deputy finally found Evan Tanner, but only noticing Tanner dead for some time.

There's something weird about this case. Tanner blogged that going into the desert could be life-threatening and he needed the proper equipment. Water should be the first thing that comes to mind, yet he was almost immediately in need of H2O.
Nevertheless, 110+ degree heat is always dangerous. Sad story.
