The International Association of Athletics Federations has annulled Marion Jones' results since the start of September 2000, including her Olympic and world championship titles from the record books as a result of her admission that she used BALCO supplied 'the clear' drug before the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. Track and field's governing body also told her to return her estimated $700,000 in prize money from that period and gave a two-year ban. On October 9, the disgraced Jones, branded as "one of the biggest frauds in sporting history"by IAAF boss Lamine Diack, voluntarily returned the five medals from the Syndey Olympics.
