Marking a record seven posts in one month, meanwhile providing some Aiko information.  I finally figured out something that's been bugging the crap out of me since the first time I heard this song (almost three years ago).

At the start of 'Fantasy', Aiko sings something I presumed was English, because I never knew what she said.  Looking back at my data, I noticed that the song was originally done by Virginelle.  Lo and behold, the first couplets in Aiko's version of 'Fantasy' are from the chorus of the original song. Listen to it here.

Aiko sings (are you ready for this?):

Listen to Aiko again, and that's exactly what she's saying.  This is the most English she's ever sung on record.  I know, it doesn't make a lot of sense, and I know, it's hard to understand Aiko when she sings in 'Engrish'.  But I finally figured out what she's singing!  And now you can sing along, too.

Then, a few minutes later I discovered this little tidbit.  Aiko sits in a cafe during the Aishite ne Motto video, and this same place is the setting for a Capsule video.  Capsule was produced by the same guy who produces Perfume, and also did 'cosmic cosmetics'.  Observe:

Well, a happy New Year to everyone out there, and good riddance to 2008.

I've ramped up the site a bit, added tags and a few more links, and hopefully soon should have a respectable fansite going.  For instance, click on "English" in the labels to your right, and you'll have four Aiko Kayo songs translated to our native tongue.

Aiko posted on her blog December 31 and sincerely apologized for taking a week off from posting.  Basically she said, things have been busy, Cheer Up * Indies recorded its last 2008 show, and that she'll try to be more consistent with posting in the coming year.  Also, she asks that we wish her luck for the New Year (ganbatte, Aiko-chan!) and that she'll try her best as always.

I'd like to make the same promise for this blog.  I'll stick to posting about Aiko (although if I increase posting, expect a lot of information about some of my other favorites), try to provide as much information as possible about Aiko as soon as possible, and be as generous as I can.

I hadn't noticed that 'Baba' commented on my first LOVERS HIGH review over a month ago, and said "Thanks for writing this".  I'm not sure if he (or she) was referring to the movie synopsis (probably the only one available, definitely the most in-depth), or the whole site, but a belated "you're welcome" to Baba, and everyone who might read this.  More to come, please check back soon;  and while you're at it, see if you can Google some keywords to get my site to come up prominently in the search.  I'm in there somewhere...

Finally, I'll post the first picture of Aiko I ever saw:  no longer on Wikipedia, but here for posterity.  It began my whole obsession, and is therefore responsible for bringing this site to you.  You can't look away!!!

Angelina Jolie will not be able to have another biological child? The 33-year-old Changeling star is being warned not to get pregnant any time soon or even never, again! That's because Angelina's last two pregnancies had many complications, OK! magazine reports.

"Angelina is at risk of having a stroke or heart attack, and because she developed gestational diabetes, there is a high risk she'll have it again, with the child being at risk for diabetes." Dr. Larrian Gillespie, tells OK!.

"Her previous pregnancies ended with emergency caesarian secions. She's been told that, at the least, she should not get pregnant for a year after her last deliver, and it would be safer if she did not get pregnant, ever."

Caroline Kennedy, the hopeful candidate for filling the senatorship vacancy left by future Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is probably to cost her nomination after a disastrous interview with New York Times. She repeated You Know with a whopping 142 times in talks with the newspaper, Telegraph is reporting.

When she first made it known that she wanted to be appointed to take over Mrs Clinton's seat, Miss Kennedy, 51, the daughter of the assassinated President John F. Kennedy, seemed a near certainty for the job.

But in the course of a few weeks she has alienated Governor David Paterson of New York, who has the sole power to make the appointment, and the American press, including the elite New York Times, which is a powerful influence on Democratic officials.

During an interview with the paper she stumbled badly, fuelling comparisons to Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska, whose bid for the vice-presidency was blighted by a series of disastrous interviews with Katie Couric of CBS News.

Perhaps most damaging of all was her repeated use of the phrase "you know", which she uttered 142 times and was left in the transcript when it appeared in print.

Explaining why she would be a good Senator, she said: "So I think in many ways, you know, we want to have all kinds of different voices, you know, representing us, and I think what I bring to it is, you know, my experience as a mother, as a woman, as a lawyer, you know, I've been an education activist for the last six years here, and, you know, I've written seven books – two on the Constitution, two on American politics.

"So obviously, you know, we have different strengths and weaknesses."

Anna Hansen Lance Armstrong Baby Expected!

Anna Hansen, Lance Armstrong's girlfriend is pregnant! Congrats to Armstrong, he is to be a father for the fourth time! The 38-year-old seven-time champion of Tour de France, told to AP:

"Anna and I are thrilled to confirm that we are expecting in June and our families are ecstatic and grateful," Armstrong told on Tuesday night. "We are very much looking forward to what 2009 brings on many fronts. We appreciate respecting our privacy, as we are both eager to celebrate the holidays as a family."

Return to the topic. Anna Hansen Lance Armstrong baby will be due in the summer. Hansen's pregnancy may be of extraordinary meaning for Armstrong, because this of his unborn baby is conceived naturally! Kudos!

Armstrong, a testicular cancer survivor, has three children (Luke, born in October 1999, and twin daughters Isabelle and Grace, born in November 2001) with his first wife Kristin Richards (pictures 1, 2), all of them were conceived via in vitro fertilization.

Mark Everett (Manuel Benitez) Shot Dead During A Shootout With Police

Mark Everett, who was known as the stage name of former child actor Manuel Benitez, was shot dead today on December 24. Mark Everett,was killed during a shootout with Los Angeles Police at a Chinese restaurant in El Monte where he held his son Benjamin Everett as a hostage. The 38-year-old is on the run since he killed girlfriend Stephanie Spears in 2004.

Detectives today identified a 38-year old Hawthorne murder fugitive who took his 7-year-old son hostage at gunpoint, barricaded himself and the child inside an El Monte restaurant bathroom, and then triggered a bloody standoff that left the suspect dead and the boy wounded.

The hostage-taker was identified as Manuel Benitez of Hawthorne, who's also known as Mark Everett, Mike Evers, Manuel Velasco, and Manuel De Velasco, according to the FBI's Web site. ...

The events that culminated with Benitez's death began about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when El Monte police responded to a call of a suspicious person with a child near the intersection of Ramona Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue, sheriff's Sgt. David Infante said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Benitez armed with a handgun. Benitez then reportedly grabbed his son -- Benjamin, who is biracial, Black and Latino -- and positioned him between himself and police, Infante said.

Benitez then took the boy inside Tai Pan Chinese Food, at 3580 Santa Anita Ave., and locked himself and the child inside a bathroom, threatening to kill himself, Benjamin, and any responding officers, Infante said.

Crisis negotiators entered the restaurant, establishing communication with the man for roughly two hours, but he refused to comply with their requests to surrender or release the child, Infante said.

Hours into the standoff, the bathroom door opened, and the Special Weapons Crisis Entry Team deployed a flash-bang device inside the room. The team then entered the bathroom, attempting to rescue the boy and take the suspect into custody, he said.

Then, "an officer-involved shooting occurred," Infante said, adding that the suspect suffered a gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two handguns in Benitez's possession were recovered following the shooting, he added.

Mark Felt Passed Away: 'Deep Throat' Mark Felt, 95, Died of Heart Failure

Mark Felt, who kept his true identity for more than 30 years as a whistle-blower in Watergate scandal[wikipedia] that led President Nixon to step down, has passed away in California.  He was 95 years old.

W. Mark Felt Sr., the associate director of the FBI during the Watergate scandal who, better known as "Deep Throat," became the most famous anonymous source in American history, died yesterday [December 18]. He was 95.

Felt died at 12:45 p.m. at a hospice near his home in Santa Rosa, Calif.

According to Las Angeles Times, Rob Jones, one of Mark Felt's grandsons, said that his grandfather died of heart failure.

"He was an important person for the history of our nation, but also such a gem and such a treasure to our family. He was a great man." Felt's another grandson Nick Jones was quoted at New York Daily News.

Arne Duncan, the Chicago schools superintendent known for taking tough steps to improve schools while maintaining respectful relations with teachers and their unions, is President-elect Barack Obama’s choice as secretary of education, Democratic officials said Monday.

Mr. Duncan, a 44-year-old Harvard graduate, has raised achievement in the nation’s third-largest school district and often faced the ticklish challenge of shuttering failing schools and replacing ineffective teachers, usually with improved results.

He represents a compromise choice in the debate that has divided Democrats in recent months over the proper course for public-school policy after the Bush years.

Duncan who usually plays basketball with Barack Obama visited Education Department in Washington and met with outgoing Secretary Margaret Spellings earlier in December. But at the time, he denied his Washington trip having anything to do with the possibility of being chosen to serve in President-elect Barack Obama's Cabinet.

A Mysterious Picture

A real and tangible prize (taking a note from the Publius Enigma of Pink Floyd) for anyone who can unravel this mystery:  a picture titled "AiAiAi".

This is as high-quality as I've got, and appearing here are unmistakeably Kago Ai, and Takahashi Ai, but who's that in the middle?  This Aiko expert says that it is, in fact, Ms. Kayo.  But this has not been corroborated.  If it's anybody else, my guess is Tanaka Reina.  The only problem is that Ms. Tanaka Reina appears to be at the right edge of the photo.

So the mystery is this:  if this is indeed a photo of Kago Ai, Kayo Aiko, and Takahashi Ai, then why would Reina (who was chosen at an audition later than Aiko's) be there?  In other words, what event is this from?  H!P costume experts, I'm counting on you.

And if this is, in fact, from a later event, it's nice to see that Ms. Kayo gets along with the other girls who were lucky enough to be chosen, even a generation later.

Naomi Watts and partner Liev Schreiber are now the parents of two boys. Watts, 40, ex-girlfriend of late actor Heath Ledger, gave birth to her second son with Schreiber in New York on December 13, 2008. The little tot is yet to be named.

"He's a very healthy baby boy, seven pounds 12 [3.5kg] or something." Emma Cooper, the King Kong actress's rep confirmed.

Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, 41, met on the set of the 2006 drama The Painted Veil. The couple had not officially exchanged nuptials but reportedly married secretly in a private ceremony not long before their first son Alexander Pete Schreiber was born in July 2007.

Bush Shoes Attack Video: Iraqi Man Throws Shoes At George W. Bush

President George Bush probably suffered the most embarrassing moment during his two-term presidency. Speaking with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki at a press conference, Bush whose term ends on January 20, 2008 was attacked by an angry Iraqi man/reporter who threw two of his shoes at President of USA:

During a press conference with the Iraqi prime minister, Nouri al-Maliki, he [Bush] said the conflict had been necessary, adding: "The war is not over."

But his comments were clearly not to the liking of one person. "This is the end!" the man shouted, before hurling first one and then his other shoe at the American leader from a distance of about 12 feet.

Bush ducked as the first shoe flew close above his head, hitting the wall behind him. He ducked again to avoid the second shoe, as Iraqi security men pounced on the assailant - reported to be an Iraqi journalist - and dragged him screaming out of the room.

The US president appeared untroubled by the incident and later quipped: "All I can report is it is a size 10." But the disruption was clearly unwelcome on his fourth and final visit to Iraq.

It was also pregnant with symbolism. Sharing a rare video of a childhood Britney Spears dancing and singing with People, Mr. Casella said she knew a star was born when audited now the Womanizer star.

Mariah Carey Pregnant? Nick Cannon may have impregnated wife Mariah Carey. The American media are speculating the E=MC2 singer is pregnant after she pulled out her concert tour plan, the rumor was denied by Mariah's rep:

Mariah Carey's pregnancy rumors ... were fueled after insiders told the New York Daily News that the star had pulled all plans for an upcoming string of concerts because she is pregnant.

A source tells the publication, "Costume designers and dancers were all called Wednesday and told the tour is off.

"Most were hysterically crying because they were relying on her for a paycheck this holiday season."

However, a representative for Carey refutes the claims: "I have not been told she's pregnant."

Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, married April in Bahamas after one month's whirlwind romance. Carey, who originally did not want to have babies, has changed mind to become a mom, according to UK's Dailymail.

"I’ve changed my mind [about becoming a mother] because I’m with The One. I think we would make good parents, and that we’d be able to figure out how to do it properly." She was quoted as saying by the newspaper.

Talking of her pregnancy rumor, Mariah Carey said "I don’t like to talk about it too much. I just think about it as the next phase. We’ll see."

Bettie Page Dead: 1950's Pinup Queen Betty Page Died of Pneumonia in Los Angeles

Bettie Page [wikipedia], Pinup Queen of 1950's, has passed away.  She died of pneumonia in a Los Angeles hospital Thursday December 11, 2008. Betty Page was 85 years young.

Bettie Page, one of America's most photographed pin-up girls during the 1950s, died in Los Angeles on Thursday from pneumonia, her agent said. She was 85.

Page was a ubiquitous sight during the 1950s, propelled to stardom when she posed for Playboy as Miss January 1955. Soon her image was gracing playing cards, record albums and bedroom posters across the country.

She stopped modeling in 1957, retreated from the public spotlight and turned to religion. She enjoyed a renaissance of sorts in the 1980s, as a new generation of fans became obsessed with her legacy.

Her agent, Mark Roesler, said Page was admitted to a Los Angeles-area hospital four weeks ago. She never regained consciousness after suffering a heart attack earlier this month.

That's right, the 2003 Hello!Project Sports Festival (in Osaka Dome/Tokyo Dome) tracksuit has been here in the Midwestern US, safe and sound since August, when Ohta sent it to me.

Many apologies that it's taken so long for me to speak up about it, but I am giving you this gift in celebration of Ms. Aiko Kayo's 23rd birthday (starting 9:00AM Dec 10th, US Central / 3:00PM Dec 10th GMT). No bullshit, it'll be yours to keep.

So I'll put myself in your shoes, and I have a feeling you're asking, 'why'? Allow me to explain:

1.) it's advertisement. If you or any of your readers have any interest in Ms. Aiko Kayo, they might discover this site as a result of this stunt. I'd like some readership.

2.) you said (in no uncertain terms) that you wanted it, but it seemed like you would have a difficult time rationalizing the cost. Well, I had the money, and I bought it specifically to give to you. Money is not the most important thing in the world, and making people happy may not be the most important, either, but I'd rather make people happy than have money.

3.) I wanted it, too. I'm also an H!P fanatic, and like you, I understand the significance of this item. To see it close-up, as well as owning it for some time has been pretty f**kin' cool. This is from the year that Yasuda graduated, and the NON-STOP concert is tops in my book.

4.) thank you, sir, for the hello!blog. I found your site from Wikipedia footnotes when I was looking for (non-existent) news about Kago during her suspension. Fittingly, I also discovered Aiko via Wikipedia, and both she and your blog are precious finds in an otherwise sullen world. Many thanks for making W's 'Arreviderci' available, too... after hearing that, I bought all their recordings.

5.) it's my way of making amends with the Aiko/H!P past. She tried out, she was in the top 9 of 24,000+, and she didn't get the invite. But I doubt to this day that she would have a bad word to say about Tsunku or H!P. I'll do a post about it sometime soon. I discovered H!P because of Aiko's unsuccessful endeavor, wondering who they were, why she tried out, and what was so appealing.

6.) when it comes to this suit, you and I will have a story to tell.

Okay, so it's free, but on a couple of conditions you're likely to agree with:

1.) Please write a post on h!b when you receive this, mentioning my site AND the beautiful Ms. Aiko Kayo, maybe including a picture of you wearing the jacket...

2.) enjoy it. If you don't want it, I'll be proud to keep it, but more than likely will not wear it except in the most rare of occasions.

3.) remember my name (jyoru) and show some respect. From one H!P fan to another, from one Kusumi fan to another, this is to show that there are no political boundaries and no geographical boundaries so great that we cannot bond together as fans.

Paul, you do not want to know what kind of year I've had to get to this point. When I listen to Morning Musume, I just want to break down and bawl my eyes out; I haven't yet, but I may do so sometime soon. It'd be funny if it happened during something so inappropriate as "Boogie Train '03", but when it happens I'll let you know.

The mysterious illness that led Janet Jackson to delay several concerts of her Rock Witchu Tour 2008 back in October sparked a lot to speculate Janet Jackson might be pregnant with long-time partner Jermaine Dupri's child, because Jackson and Dupri have reportedly said that they want to get married and have a baby before it's too late.

"No, Ya'll stop saying that, when she gets pregnant everyone will know," Jermaine Dupri said when interviewed by Hollyscoop while attending the grand opening for the SLS hotel in Los Angeles days ago, according to New York Daily News.

Ouch, in case you did not know yet, Janet's brother Michael Jackson has recently converted to a muslim in Hollywood, changing his name to Mikaeel Jackson.
