On December 11, the celebrity blog TMZ.com reported that Jennifer Mervin was divorcing Timothy Busfield after 19 years of marriage. She filed papers (click here to see the pdf file) in Los Angeles Superior Court. Mervin is seeking joint legal custody of the couple's minor son Samuel Clark Busfield who was born in 1991. The couple also has the 18-year-old daughter Daisy Mervin Busfiled.

As she is only cited irreconcilable differences in court documents, the exact reason of Mervin's desire to part away Busfield was not known.

We speculate that Timothy Busfield might have done something harmful to Jennifer Mervin. Actually, according to his biography run by E!Online.com, Busfield was once sued for by a teenage girl who accused him of sexual harrassment on the set of the feature "Little Big League" (1994). The suit was settled out of court. Busfield was later ordered to pay a Minneapolis law firm close to $150,000 in lawyers' fees after he unsuccessfully sued the law firm for defamation.
