Rajo Devi, 70, an Indian mother who just gave birth to a girl in November, is already considering to have a son. According to Xinhua, the newly mother said doctors believed she was more healthy than those at 30~40's.
Rajo Devi and husband Bala Ram, 72, married when they were teens. But to be parents of a child, they had to wait for 55 years.
That day came on November 28, 2008 when Rajo Devi delivered a healthy baby girl after in vitro fertility treatment, becoming the second in India to give birth to a child by IVF at the age of 70.
In July of the same year, another Indian woman named Omkari Panwar, also 70, gave birth to a pair of boy and girl twins.
Dr Anurag Bishnoi, Devi's doctor at Hisar's National Fertility Centre, claimed that she is the oldest mother who gives a birth.
