Sean Avery, the wing from NHL team New York Rangers, has been hospitalized for a lacerated spleen. The hockey bad boy, who saw his team lose in the third playoff match against Pittsburgh Penguins last night, was rushed to St. Vincent's at about 3am this morning. The 28-year- old forward will miss the remainder of the playoffs. Sean Avery was injured during the first period of the 5-3 loss at Madison Square Garden after colliding with a Penguins defenseman. Avery's spleen didn't rupture, but he suffered internal bleeding. Hope Avery get well soon. Link
