Alex De Silva, 41, is FOX reality show So You Think You Can Dance celebrity choreographer. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Da Silva won the World Salsa Dancing Championships in 2002 and 2007.

Alex De Silva was arrested on Saturday (April 4, 2009) after he finished a dancing class at a North Hollywood studio. Alex Da Silva was taken into custody in lieu with a $3.8 million bail. His first appearance on court is scheduled on Tuesday, April 7.
On March 28, a woman whose name was not revealed accused Alex Da Silva of luring her to his home, using a ruse to get her into his bedroom and raping her. In fact, she was the known fourth female students fallen to be the victim of Da Silva.

During 2003 to 2005, three other women also accused De Silva of sexually assaulting them. But for unknown reasons prosecutors declined to file charges.
This time, when detectives re-contacted these three women, they made the similar accusations as the above-mentioned woman.
"These four women don't know each other at all, yet their reports read basically the same," Detective John Eum told to AP.
"We're almost sure there are probably other victims out there and we hope they'll come forward," Eum continued.
