Sara Evans, the 37-year-old country singer and Dancing with the Stars alum, was engaged to Jay Barker, a former quarterback at the University of Alabama football team. The couple started dating before Thanksgiving in 2007. Now they planed to marry but yet to decide a wedding date.
"The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials," Evans's rep Lori Genes told to PEOPLE.
Sarah Evans ended 13 years of marriage with ex-husband Craig Schelske in September 2007 after a bitter and widely-publicized divorce since 2006. Barker, who led Alabama to a national championship in 1992, hosts a morning radio show The Opening Drive on WJOX in Birmingham. Source
