Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo [wiki] is the president of African country Equatorial Guinea. Teodoro Obiang Nguema snatched the power from his uncle, former dictator Francisco Macías Nguema in a 1979 bloody coup. Being the head of Equatorial Guinea, the third largest oil producer in Africa, Teodoro Obiang Nguema have embezzled most of its annual oil revenue of US$3bn. That's why most of Equatoria Guinean ordinary people still live in poverty (less than $2 per day), otherwise they should have been the second richest people on the world as the $3bn annual oil revenues can give Equatorial Guinea's 550,000 citizens the second highest income in the world at about US$50,000 per head.
In 2003, Teodoro Obiang Nguema was declared as Equatorial Guinea's God by his aid in a local radio station. "He can decide to kill without anyone calling him to account and without going to hell because it is God himself, with whom he is in permanent contact, and who gives him this strength."
But after all, Teodoro Obiang Nguema is not a God, he is mortal after all--he is suffering from terminal prostate cancer. Source: Guardian & BBC
