Marion Cotillard won the Academy Award as best actress for her portrayal of legendary chanteuse Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose. Marion Cotillard is the first French performer to win a Best Actress Oscar since Simone Signoret won the title in 1960 for her leading role in Room at the Top.
"We'll, I'm speechless now," said an excited Cotillard, 32. "Thank you, life. Thank you, love. It is true, there are some angels in this city [Los Angeles]."
Congrats!
