Matthew Higa, pictured left, is a Honolulu resident. The 23 year old man was accused of throwing a two and a half years old boy to its death off the Miller Street overpass into traffic on the H-1 Freeway near Ward Avenue in Honolulu. Not long after the incident happened at about 11:40 a.m on Thursday, Honolulu police arrested Mather Higa just a few blocks from the pedestrian overpass and took him to the custody in the police station, based on the tips given by witnesses. Shelton Higa, Matthew's father, told the Khon2 station that his son was a mentally ill man who was never received treatment.
