Wim 'Iceman' Hof, from the Netherlands, set a new world record on Saturday by standing in engulfed ice for an hour and twelve minutes. He successfully broke his previous world record of 68 minutes in 2004 for immersion in an outdoor ice bath. Wim Hof, 48, is a self-claimed tantric master who can control his body temperature through tantric meditation in the extreme cold conditions. Last year, the Iceman tried to conquer the 8848-meter-high Mountain Everest wearing just shorts, but failed after reaching 7400 meters.
