Cyril Wecht, a famed pathologist who once checked Elvis Presley and other celebrities' deceased bodies has been tried on charges alleging him of using public resources to further his multimillion-dollar private practice while working as Allegheny County medical examiner and coroner in Pennsylvania. As a never-made-more-than-$64,000-a-year county coroner, Cyril Wecht, 76, was thought impossible to gross nearly $9 million from 1997 through 2004 in his private practice.
