Bronner Burgess (pictured left) is the youngest son of the radio personality Rick Burgess, co-host of The Rick and Bubba Show (www.rickandbubba.com). Sadly, the Burgess junior had died , announced a message on the show's website. The cause of 2-year-old Bronner Burgess' death was not elaborated in the announcement:
"We ask that you bathe Rick, Sherri, and the entire Burgess family in prayer as they deal with the loss of their youngest son, Bronner Burgess. We all are grieving together in this terrible loss.
The Burgess's want to give all Honor and Glory to GOD for the many blessings He has given us, especially the life of Bronner Burgess. And while we do not understand, we know who is in charge and His will be done in life and in death."
According to Joe Case who is founder and senior Pastor of UpRising Church, William Bronner Burgess was drowned in the family swimming pool:
For those of you who are as big a Rick & Bubba fan as I am (and have been for years), I read with great sorrow this morning of the passing of Rick’s two-year-old son, Bronner, yesterday. Apparently, Bronner drowned in the family swimming pool - a horrible accident.
Update: Rick Burgess' son was confirmed dead by the Shelby County Sheriff’s department Sunday morning. We are happen to know the first paragraph of this post was used in a report on HULIP.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC-TV MyFoxAL.com) -- Bronner Burgess, the youngest child of Rick and Sherri Burgess, drowned Saturday evening after falling into a swimming pool.
At 7:24 Saturday evening, Shelby County 911 received a call about a possible drowning. They responded to the call, and transported Burgess to Children's Hospital in Birmingham. In spite of medical efforts, Burgess was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sheriff Curry of Shelby County stated that the preliminary investigation indicated that this was a tragic accident. Burgess was two years old.
Justin Case, program director for WZZK, the flagship station for the "Rick and Bubba Show", has told FOX6 News that the family will have a memorial open to the public Tuesday afternoon at the Shades Mountain Baptist Church. It will begin at 2:00. Case also said that Bill "Bubba" Bussey and Calvin "Speedy" Wilburn would both be on the air Monday morning to "share their personal testimony with the community in this time of grief."
As being a parent of our own kids, we understand the loss of Rick very much. Our prayers go with him, his family and friends!
