Randy Salerno Dies in Snowmobiling Accident

Randy Salerno, a news anchorman of CBS 2 Chicago, passed away Thursday night (January 24) in a snowmobiling accident in Eagle River, Wisconsin.

At the time of the tragedy happened, Randy Salerno, 45, was riding on the back of the snowmobile driven by his childhood friend, Scott Hirschey when it slid off the trail, according to the CBS 2's report . Salerno was thrown from the vehicle and killed after striking a tree.
