Meet Jerome Kerviel, a trader in charge of plain vanilla futures hedging on European equity market indices of France's second largest bank Societé Générale by the market valuue. The rogue trader who duped investors and bank officials and outwitted the bank's security programs now is responsible for the bank's s 4.9 billion-euro ($7.1 billion) trading loss, the largest in European history.
